By downloading or using RiverWatch (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
RiverWatch displays near-real-time river level and flow data sourced from public government agencies (USGS and Environment and Climate Change Canada). The app is provided by Ryan (the “Developer”), operating as an individual developer.
The Developer is not liable for any harm, injury, or loss arising from use of or reliance on data displayed in the app.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Google Play account is charged at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store under Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you retain access until the end of the current paid period.
Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with Google Play’s refund policy. The Developer does not process refunds directly.
Use the Restore Purchases option in the app’s Premium screen to restore a prior purchase on a new device or after reinstalling.
Users may submit paddling spot information (put-in/take-out locations, flow ranges, difficulty ratings, etc.) through the app.
By submitting a paddling spot, you:
You retain ownership of content you submit. To request removal of a submission, contact support@riverwatch.cc.
You agree not to:
The app, its code, design, and branding are owned by the Developer. River data is sourced from public government agencies and is subject to their respective licences:
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the app, including but not limited to data loss, personal injury, or property damage.
The Developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the app at any time. These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Canada.
